What is Hagwon?

Hagwon is an After School Program.
But mostly it’s about studying

For the people who do not have a time to read this thing.

So, what is Hagwon?

As I mentioned, you can just think as an After School Program.
But the differences are that they’re mostly about studying (and sports).

It’s DEFINITELY NOT Fun. I mean, who would like to study?
They would rather play than study.

Must-Go Hagwon.

Most of the kids in Korea go to Math, English, Science, Korean Hagwon. Unless my friends do.
You would like to ask: Why do they go to Hagwon?

That’s simple. Because most of the students in Korea go to Hagwon. But why?
There are a lot of reasons.

Hard Exams.

There are a lot of exams in Korea, you’ll probably have unless 2 exams in 1 month.
But, it is not enough for us to take exams with the knowledge that we’ve learned at school.
Yes, not enough. So we go to Hagwon unless we’ll get an F.

When everyone do, then that turns into the new standard.

When everyone do, then that turns into the new standard. I don’t know exactly when it has been started, but this has been turned into the new standard. Because everyone does.
And if you don’t go, then I’m sure that you’ll get a terrible score.
